This article is designed to provide instructions on how to allocate customized access permissions to a existing user

A partner or customer should log into the control panel at either a partner or customer level; this example uses a partner account , but the procedure is identically implemented at a customer level.

Once logged in, click on the 'Management' tab

The click on the sub tab named 'Rights Management'   If you have logged in as a customer or are a direct customer of EveryCloud, you will not see the 'default_partner' option

Click on the 'New role' Button and you will presented with a POP up box where you may select the new role template to base your users customized level of control panel access on.

You don't have to select a pre-existing template,  you may also select 'none' and build the exact access rights you require.

Give your template a name and click 'OK' and then click 'Save'

Now you have your customized access template;

All you need to do now is allocate the view-able content ,the control panel content you wish the customized user to have access to

Double click on the new template: and you will be presented with a window displaying many tick boxes.

The tick boxes once ticket are the sections of the control panel you agree should be applied to the access template.

Have a good look through the options and be comfortable with how much access you would like this template to have before you apply the template to a specific user and of course click the 'Save' button to save any changes before navigating away from the page.

Once your happy and have clicked 'Save' you now need to apply the access rights template to a user.

Click on the sub tab ' Advanced settings'

  1. Type in a genuine users email address that already exists in the control panel
  2. Choose 'Authorization level', in this case it would be your customer name or if you are partner, your partner name as depicted below
  3. Use the drop down to choose the access 'Role' that you have just created previously
  4. Click on the '+' 'Add' button to add the access 'Role' to the defined User and importantly as with any changes, depress the 'Save' button

Once you save the configuration you will see a new entry in the Advanced settings table and the system will feedback that the configuration for the user has been saved.

So now log out of the control panel and log back into the control panel as the end user you have just applied custom access rights to.

Important:  you will see absolutely no change to the end users access rights unless you use the 'Role' drop down menu from the end users account, to click and switch into the new custom 'Role' you have allocated to the end user
